The self-help industry is really “deceptive intelligence”: that, at the root of it all, the self-help industry is led mostly by fraudulent (sometimes even narcissistic or pathological), so-called experts who just spit raps about feel good psychobabble to SOUND knowledgeable and convincing…

Step 3.) Don’t get excited: if it applies, let go of the delusion that any book, video or audio product contains a “grand secret” or some “universal knowledge” that’ll make all of your problems go away. In my blog post about dating a few months back, I said “stop idealizing women,” and I’m going to flip that here again and say STOP IDEALIZING INFORMATION…
