Here’s the audio playback from last night’s call, “A Beginner’s Guide to Understanding & Activating the 7 CHAKRAS (Re-visited).”

Next week’s call is (tentatively) entitled “Integrating Self-Esteem & Confidence into EVERYTHING You Do…” and that’s exactly what we’ll cover. You’re going to love it…click on the green for more details.
———— Additional Resources ———–
The first major one is the book “Yoga & Psychotherapy: The Evolution of Consciousness” by Swami Rama, Swami Ajaya & Rudolph Ballentine. This was the main research text I used, so it’s HIGHLY recommended.
Also, we did a lot of affirmations call too, so here’s a cool affirmation program I use ON A DAILY BASIS…trust me, you need to check this out now.
Moving on to the specific Chakras:
(1) THE ROOT CHAKRA
The main lesson here is to get in touch with your animal self, and the recommended scroll is a book called Face the Fear…and DO IT ANYWAY by Susan Jeffers
>> “I am safe and secure at all times…”
>> “I am responsible for the quality of my life…” and
>> “I am willing to release all my old patterns of fear and insecurity…”
(2) THE SACRAL CHAKRA
The main thing here is learning to embrace pleasure and sensuality as a way of life, and the recommended scroll is called My Secret Garden: Women’s Sexual Fantasies by Nancy Friday
>> “I think sex is great and I have no hang ups about it…”
>> “It’s okay to have a pleasurable life…” and
>> “I unconditionally love and approve of myself at all times…”
>> a great video on basic massage techniques:
(3) THE SOLAX PLEXUS CHAKRA
This Chakra deals with self-reliance, self-discipline, willpower and confidence, and the recommended scroll is Simpleology: The Simple Science of Getting What You Want by Mark Joyner
>> “I’ve let go of settling for less than the best I can be…”
>> “I am worth my weight in gold…” and
>> “When I don’t get what I want, I get experience…”
(4) THE HEART CHAKRA
This Chakra is all about emotional connection, and the lesson here is that separation is an illusion. For more on this, you can check out a book called The Art of Loving by Eric Fromm, which was recommended by the authors of Yoga & Psychotherapy
>> “I accept the past is NOT my future…”
>> “I grieve in healthy and healing ways…” and
>> “I release and dissolve all guards and shields I have around my heart…”
>> another great video, “The 4 Steps to Emotional Processing,” by John Breeding, PhD:
(5) THE THROAT CHAKRA
This one is all about self-expression, so it’s activated by nurturing and cultivating the creative child within you. For more on this, check out the book, The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.
>> “I substitute patterns of addiction and abuse with love, joy, and creative expression…”
>> “I love and trust my creative gifts…” and
>> “It’s okay for me to express the best of who I am now…”
(6) THE THIRD-EYE (BROW) CHAKRA
This Chakra deals with high-level intuition, and the thing to realize here is that so-called “psychic abilities’ are really just natural skills – instincts that atrophy and decay through lack of exercise, disbelief or some combination of the two. For more on this, check out The Psychic Pathway: A 12-Week Program for Developing Your Psychic Gifts by Sonia Choquette.
>> “I create clarity and unlimited vision for myself about my life…”
>> “I open myself to my intuition and deepest knowing…”
>> “I acknowledge I am the source in creating my life the way I would like it to be…”
(7) THE CROWN CHAKRA:
Which is about attaining Supreme Consciousness. One way to do this is to realize that everything is simply consciousness taking form – that the reality we share is based on agreements we have of what that reality is (through definitions and concepts).
While these definitions and concepts are useful and needed, they can also confine us, because they condition us to operate on assumptions about what things are and how things work, rather then test those assumptions and experiment in order to find creative new ways to solve problems or approach situations…
Eventually, as you come to see that definitions and terms are really just arbitrary things, you begin to identify with pure consciousness itself, not so much the form it takes…a spiritual form energy that permeates everything in existence, not so much the particular arrangements of energy that we see all around us. This opens the door for infinite possibilities…
A great way to do this is to practice something called “symbol literacy“: the ability to detect and decode symbolic meaning in literature, film and other forms of fiction, as well as real-world socio-political events and even YOUR OWN PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES. That’s why I recommended the book A Dictionary of Symbols by J.E. Cirlot
>> “I allow myself to think and dream in limitless ways…”
>> “My higher self is all wise, I now draw closer to it…” and
>> “I am a Godlike individual…”
See my photo image collection, Symbolic Teachers for examples.
