You’re in a unique situation of being alone: you just left your
home for college, you’re trying to figure out what you want for yourself and it would be nice if you could go somewhere and get some help and
support without people trying to tell you that there’s something wrong with you…

…that was the other part of me trying to support my
friend – I was just trying to convince her that she has the same power
and the same qualities that all people have to make themselves
happy and choose what’s right for themselves…

Just stumbled on this video earlier today while doing some research…I know it’s a little long (around 17 minutes), but trust me, it’s well worth the investment.

It’s psychologist Dr. John Breeding with his daughter, Vanessa, making some really insightful points about the medical profession today, especially as it applies to our youth:
