ORGANIZING THE BLOG (Here’s the Progress So Far…)

10 December 2010 No Comment

Alright so I’m making some serious headway on organizing the blog…the new homepage will have:

young african american and asian business owners at laptop1.) A brief overview of the latest post…
2.) Links to navigation pages based on major subjects, and
3.) Possibly a video introduction to the blog in general.

Check out a sample of what one of the navigation pages will look like below (I just finished the one for the Blog Talk Radio archive).

Here’s what I’m thinking about as far as the major subjects (everything will be categorized as one or more of the following):

A) ON PRODUCTIVITY: things on getting results, setting and achieving goals, managing time and other direct tips and techniques for personal efficiency,

C) ON PSYCHOLOGY: all the deeper concepts and strategies on emotional well-being, the subconscious mind , and anything else “heavy” like that

D) ON HOLISTIC HEALTH: think nutrition, how to raise your energy, some of the stuff I do on circadian/ultradian rhythms, etc. etc.

F) RADIO (see below), and

G) CLASSICS: anything else that wouldn’t fit, like dating advice, my comments on the conscious community, the tools I use to build this website or more about me personally…

I think that’s a pretty good structure (although it’s kind of difficult seeing how everything overlaps). For the new theme, I’m not sure exactly what I’m going to use, but definitely something with A LOT more whitespace: something that looks a little bit more mature and less “woo-woo” (although I’ll probably keep the whole nature aspect to some degree).

Check out the first archive page (for the Blog Talk Radio sessions) here.

Leave me a comment below to let me know what you think. Are those some good categories, or do you think an important section is missing/unclear??? I’m open to suggestions…

ps: If you like this blog and would like to support what I’m doing, click here (or on anything under “Bryan’s Program Library” to the right). They’re affiliate links, so I’ll get a commission if you “cop” something, and they’re also the same programs that changed my life.
