From DeviantArt.com,

My man's was not only a scientific genius, but he also rocked the violet bandana, representing of course the crown Chakra (God Consciousness)

I take the staff to represent self-discipline: the prerequisite to higher-level awareness and advanced life...

Drawn by a cat with the pen name "Arsenal Gear XX." Check him out at:

http://arsenalgearxx.deviantart.com/ You already knew this was coming...

In hinduism, an Avatar is an incarnation of God on the physical plane. In fact, the Chinese characters at the top of the show's title translate as "the divine medium who has descended upon the mortal world".

So Christ would be an avatar, and Buddha would be as well. (There are actually 10 Avatars in Hinduism, only one of which is actually human. The majority took on animal form)...

Again, an Avatar is a reincarnation of the Immortal Supreme Being, which we all are in our own unique way.

I'll be doing a class this Thursday called "Fundamentals for Mind-Elevation," and dropping a CD the week after that by the same name.

To advance, we must become students of our respective crafts, no different than a student of the martial arts. We must stop striving only for material goals, and see the development of our craft as a goal in and of itself. (In my book, I have section called "Practice is the Path of the Master" that details this.)

To fundraise for Haiti Relief, I started selling the book early as well >> I mail out autographed copies too. Check it: http://www.dotheknowledge.com/transcend/haiti
Strider Hiryu: Homeboy debuted in the 1989 arcade game "Strider," which game out for the Nintendo a few months later.

The Striders are an organization of high-tech covert operatives - basically futuristic ninja.

So while Strider is a title, "Hiryu" translates as "Dragon Flying in Heaven"...and I believe the Kanji symbol on his chest means Immortality.

Strider is just straight ill - deep, intelligent and skillful with the blade. Here's some quotes to give you an idea:

"A false life is equal to death. Be your true self!"

"Life or death awaits...... A strider is never certain."

"Destruction is the cost of selfish ambition." "How about the EYE of Thunde-RA which gives LionO (king of astrology and king of the sun) sight beyond sight, and he can kind of astral travel or see through space and time. How about the fact that Mumra wore a crown of two serpents facing each other? On his chest is Hermes Staff! This whole show reaked of symbolism. It even had hollow earth symbolism! The black pyramid had four oBELisks surrounding it. Off the charts symbolism..." ~ a friend of mine going off on some message board. Technically, Storm represents the African Goddess Oya: "The Shaper of Storms," and "The Guardian Between the Realms of Life & Death."

Personally though, Storm represents all powerful Black Women: Queens holding it down in this day and age (as well as throughout history) the world (as well as the entire Universe) over...

Sisters feel free to tag yourself...
The future is ours brethren... Akuma from Capcom's classic Street Fighter series.

Technically, Akuma translates as "devil," but his portrayal as an evil force was really just a fabrication of Capcom's American branch - his original Japanese name was Gouki, which translates as "brave spirit" or "firm character."

The symbol on Gouki's back is the Kanji (Japanese/Chinese symbol-logic) word "Tien" which means "Heaven" or "Spiritual Providence." Some even take it to mean immortality... Not too long ago, a friend of mine broke down how in the X-men universe, Professor X represents Martin Luther King and Magneto represents Malcolm X... hence Pro. X and the X-men's desire to assimilate ("the good guys", of course) and Magneto's desire to leave the human race entirely in order to establish a civilization governed by the mutants themselves (Self-Determination).

Something to think about...
Black Panther, THE FIRST BLACK SUPERHERO IN MAINSTREAM AMERICAN COMICS...

"So basically... he's the cheif of the Wakandan tribe, with super powers gained through his connection to the African Panther God, Wakandan. He had a love affair with Storm, whose also from Africa...

He's a super-genius who protected his village by hiding it from the white world, lol AND he united the Mutant world." ~ El Rasun

(Recommended to the Symbolic Teachers collection by Ajamu RBG - HAPPY BORNDAY G) "For a Samurai to be brave, he must have a bit of Black
blood." ~ Japanese Proverb (I'm not kidding...see the comments for info) "Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealously."

“Named must your fear be before you can banish it.”

"For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes.”

Luke: "I can’t believe it."
Yoda: "That is why you fail.”
An e-mail conversation between Me & E Rasun about 4 or 5 years ago:

"Alright check it: in the anime show Dragon Ball Z, all the characters we're all after the dragon balls, right? They was having wars, blowing up universes and what not, all for these damn dragon balls.

So what was so special about these dragon balls, huh? (It must of been something supreme)

Basically, you could get anything in the universe when you collected the SEVEN (7) Dragonballs. THE DRAGON IS THE KUNDALINI ENERGY INSIDE US, which raises through the seven chakras...starting at the root chakra!!!

If your familar with Bobby Hemmitt, he explains how it (the kundalini force) is raised through sexual energy, as in the Dragon's BALLS!! Crazy right???"

lol...the good ol days. The Fantastic Four symbolize the four elements of classical philosophy: The Thing represents earth, Invisible Woman air, Mr. Fantastic water (his flexibility/adaptability being fluid) and of course, The Human Torch the element of fire...

Silver Surfer then represents Ether: the cosmic element which unites them all.

Taken a little further, since their main arch-nemesis is the technological Dr. Doom (an inventor), we could see the entire thing as a play on the conflict between technological advancement and natural balance (planetary intelligence).

I made a pretty cool note on the 4 elements earlier this morning - it talks about how to incorporate them into your morning routine. Check it: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=454463290608

Peace,
