Remember that BIG recommended scroll I kept mentioning last year, Empire of Illusion, by Chris Hedges???

Well turns out homeboy just released another new book called The Death of the Liberal Class… Check out one of his recent lectures here:

He’s Going In…

…the whole idea is that REAL liberalism in America no longer exists: that what we think of as the liberal (or progressive) establishment is now only a disguise…a group of leaders actually complicit in the conservative and corporate agenda (although they speak in liberal and progressive terms).

Death of the Liberal Class by Chris HedgesAccording to Hedges, “the Democratic Party has betrayed us” (he’s even dissing Obama). All of the pillars that make a liberal establishment work have been destroyed, there’s no viable way to challenge the government’s agenda within the traditional government structure itself (remember, “the liberal class is dead”) and all resistance must now be carried out through anti-establishment, radical means.

In other words, you can no longer disagree with the government’s agenda, try to do something about it in any official way; everything that would make that possible has been subverted and controlled

I’m excited…I really like his style, and I think he drops a heavy book like this every year to supplement his income while he works on what he’s passionate about (working in prisons), which I’m all for.

Plus, this guy has lyrical skills. Watch the video above and leave a comment letting me know what you think about it…

Peace,
+B

ps: The book is currently OUT OF STOCK on Amazon.com. That’s what I’m talking about…
