Beautify Your Diet

“An often overlooked beauty secret is maintaining a balanced pH level inside the body. Your pH (potential of hydrogen) level is what measures the acid-alkaline balance within your body.

The average American is inclined to have an acidic pH level due to lifestyle. According to Dr. Jonathan B. Levine – DMD, world-renowned dentist and correspondent for The Dr. Oz Show – “the majority of Americans eat mostly acidifying food, with minimal alkalizing intake”. Acidifying foods include processed foods, sugar, and meat. (High acidity can also result from high stress levels.)

>> Chronic acne,

>> premature aging,

>> dark under eye circles, and

>> a dull complexion

…are just a few of the issues that can stem from high acidity. You can easily test your body’s pH by purchasing pH strips from a local pharmacy. Follow the package directions and consult your doctor if you are concerned with the results.

A healthy pH ranges between 6.0 – 6.5 in the morning and 6.5 – 7.0 in the evening. Maintaining a balanced pH level has a great effect on your health and beauty. *Here are some tips to help keep your body’s pH level balanced*:

Drink your water with lemon. Lemon becomes alkaline after digestion, therefore, aiding pH balance.

Eat more dark leafy greens. They’re nature’s ultimate alkalizing foods.

Get proper amount of sleep. Sleep reduces acid formation within the body, and lastly

Breathe deeply. Slow, deep breaths raise carbon dioxide level in blood which has alkalizing effects…”
