A Legacy of Black Intelligence pt.10: A Tribute to Dr. Phil Valentine

10 September 2010 2 Comments

Peace,

This blogpost is a tribute to the Dr. Phil Valentine, a revolutionary metaphysical teacher, a HIGHLY-advanced Holistic Health instructor and far too many other brilliant things to mention here…

the book of the earth by phil valentineI first found out about Bro. Valentine at an NGE (Nation of Gods & Earths) bookstore in North Jersey…they had this DVD lecture in there called “The Book of the Earth”, and as soon as I saw it I said to myself,

“Oh, that’s cool: you mean instead of me reading so much I can just watch someone break things down??? Word…

It had to be synchronistic, because I absolutely NO idea what I was in for – his lecture blew me away, because even though I was already familiar with philosophy and mind power like that, I never heard someone articulate it so well at that “deep, abstract mental laws” level until then.

Plus, the way he intertwines metaphysics with today’s social dynamics is also dope…I never heard somebody approach it so holistically like that before either.

What I most respect about Bro. Valentine is that HE’S COMPLETELY FEARLESS with his ideas: he speaks from his heart (regardless of how “radical” it is) and doesn’t care if he’ll get criticized or condemned for it…

I put a facebook status up yesterday that said, “You can’t be passionate AND political correct at the same time…you just can’t.” and I that’s the #1 lesson I took away from him indirectly, (aside from the depth of the knowledge itself).

Basically, as my friend El & I always say, “Phil is the man.” You can check out his website here or enjoy these great clips below to get an idea…

Phil is ill and raw…simple. I first heard about him when I bought ‘The Metaphysics of Sex’. The topics he covers plus his delivery (very colorful) grabs those who ‘pay’ him attention.

RIGHT…his bravery man, that really helps me out the most.

To come so courageously we stuff YOU KNOW you’ll be attacked for is admirable (& motivational to other aspiring “information publishers”)

    Peace,
