With the mind about 99.99% is below water and invisible, and only about, maybe 0.01% is visible in your conscious thought. NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK IS IN THAT WHOLE REALM OF THE UNCONSCIOUS??? You’re right…
>> Things like identity and self-image,
>> Your view of what reality IS and what’s possible,
>> The ability to create optimism, and actually even your habits of thought are in your unconscious mind…
So you can learn all the fancy creative thinking and logic exercises you want: if your unconscious mind is wired wrong, NONE OF IT WILL WORK, period…even if some it does work just a little, you’ll forget it, because it’s not permanently wired.
Now I’ve never said this publicly before, but most of the work I do when teaching people is getting them to let go of outdated beliefs, inefficient mental habits and to change their mental image of themselves, because only then will techniques actually work…”

This rung true for me because I know I spent most of my life NOT thinking for myself. I spent most of my life getting into trouble and feeling confused about where I was going because I was “fronting”… because I wasn’t being authentic about who I am or who I want to become.
So one of my biggest lessons in life was that I needed to CONSCIOUSLY control what I thought and believed, and then consistently ACT on those beliefs in order to refine them and make sure my ideas were accurate. Here’s another clip explaining what I mean:
“So why would you want to “control” the way you think? Why wouldn’t you want to just have it happen naturally??? Well, what I’ve learned in life is that if you learn the powerful thinking tools and strategies that the most successful people use to focus their mind – to use reasoning and logic to create the results – you’ll:
>> Have more power and influence in the world,
>> You’ll attract more successful people into you’re life (they’ll automatically be attracted to you), and
>> You’ll achieve the results you want to achieve in your life: in business and in your relationships…
What I’ve also learned by watching very closely is that those that DON’T take control of their minds – those that never learn to use their minds in an ‘expert capacity,’ if you will – don’t make things happen.
In fact, what happens is the opposite: they LOSE power and status, people REJECT them and aren’t attracted to them, and they ultimately FAIL at the things they try to do, and it’s all because of what’s going on in their heads.
(later on) Almost no one actual does this…as I’ve been studying this topic and paying very careful attention over the last few years, I’ve noticed that ALMOST NO ONE I MEET OR INTERACT WITH IS THINKING INTENTIONALLY, using sound thinking techniques, or verifying their ideas with tests and measurement.” ~ Eben Pagan
